There is some wonderful work in this exhibition, and its good to see that it was well covered for Orion.

But the author and the RARE organization should know that there are several international artists who DO make environmental stewardship the focus of their work. There have also been previous museum exhibitions that focus on collaborative work merging art and conservation.
At this crucial moment in time, it is a creative challenge to artists of all disciplines to develop artwork that both inspires and informs.

As a museum director and curator, I find this approach to be rich with potential. I am considering ways to adapt it to the issues and artists of my region of the US, since I can see this approach as being relevant both at the global and at the local level. Sometimes it is easier to see the issues if someone from the edge comes to it and shows it to us afresh.
