1. Civility rules. Be kind, thoughful, pertinent, appropriate, and civil. Posts and comments that fall short of this mark may be deleted. Orionmagazine.org reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
2. If we wish to re-use comments—in the print magazine, for promotional purposes, or other uses—we'll ask for permission and won't reuse content unless permission is granted.
3. Orion magazine and The Orion Society provide ideas and a platform for discussion; the rest is up to participants. We insist on valid e-mail addresses as a gesture toward personal responsibility; as Stewart Brand and the Well initially stated, You Own Your Own Words.
