Jason Speaks at Art+Environment Conference
October 10, 2008, by H. Emerson Blake

This past weekend Orion Picture Editor Jason Houston attended “Art+Environment,” hosted by the Nevada Museum of Art, in Reno, Nevada. This conference, moderated by regular Orion contributor William L. Fox brought together an influential group of artists, curators, gallery owners, writers, editors, and educators all who are working to address the environment in their work. Jason participated in a panel discussion titled “what’s neXt: Artists Imagining the Future,” moderated by author Jeff Gordinier. Jason presented Orion’s use of art in the magazine context and talked about his personal documentary work on social and environmental issues.
