Mike Davis Wins Lannan Literary Award

Mike Davis, author of ”Slum Ecology” (March/April 06), won a $150,000 Lannan Literary Award for nonfiction.

As did Eamon Grennan last year or the year before, whose poetry appeared in Orion a few years ago.

Last year Chris Nye deduced that 23 writers whose work has appeared in Orion have won Lannan awards or fellowships, and that 15 of them were in Orion before they received recognition from Lannan.”
