Orion at AWP
February 16, 2009, by H. Emerson Blake

Chip, Jennifer, and Hannah were in Chicago for the annual conference of the Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP), February 11-14. AWP conference- attended by 5800 people this year—is an opportunity for university writing programs, literary publishers and organizations, and writers across the country to network, present panels and readings, and browse a massive Bookfair. This year, Orion convened a panel, moderated by Jennifer, called “Award-winning Writing at the Intersection of Nature and Culture.” Panelists John Price, Debra Marquart, and David Gessner read and discussed their award-winning Orion essays.
