Orion readers and poetry fans may be interested to know about these new and recent books by Orion poets.  Here they are, along with the titles of poems that first appeared in Orion:

Dogged Hearts by Ellen Doré Watson. “Be Here First” first appeared in Orion.

The Last Skin by Barbara Ras, with “It Came Down Ice Last Night” and “A Book Said Dream and I Do.”

Bloom by Simmons Buntin, with “Wild Mint.”

Stone Wind Water by David Lee, with “November Idyll.”

And, forthcoming:

Every Riven Thing by Christian Wiman, with “When the Time’s Toxins” (forthcoming), will be out in November.

The Book of Men by Dorianne Laux, with “Juneau Spring,” will be on shelves in February, if you can wait for it!

Also, don’t miss Thorpe Moeckel’s fascinating book-length poem Venison, a reverent hunter’s visceral meditation on the mystery and wonder, the joy and pain, of the hunt and living close to the land.
