An Orion Original Poem

Orion recently entered a poem in CTK Foundation’s annual Heart and Soul Grant Award because a.) we love poetry, and b.), a jury gives cash to the nonprofit which submitted their favorite entry. We didn’t win, but crafting a short poem that explains why we do what we do was a great exercise. Here it is:

There’s a wisdom in the wild,
and a wind that moans for justice.
Through the keening of the world,
beauty has a voice.

With a handful of earth,
grow words that flower wisdom.
Dare the art of justice–
we’re still singing through the noise.

  1. Beautiful rhythm and elegantly written. The judges must have been asleep.
