Orion Magazine Meetup on the Mountain

Discuss topics aired in recent issues of Orion with its editors and two renowned authors who’ve written for these editions—James Howard Kunstler, author of The Long Emergency, and Charles C. Mann, author of 1491—plus author and Orion Contributing Editor Ginger Strand atop Mount Greylock, Massachusetts’ highest peak.

The event is free and the setting is Bascom Lodge at the summit of Greylock on Sunday, July 17 at 5 PM. Dinner will follow the discussion at 7 PM (not included, reservations required, call 413-743-1591). More info on this gorgeous spot and directions here.

Enjoy the 100-mile view and ponder some of the big questions of our day with Orion, an award-winning, 29-year old, non-profit publication based in The Berkshires of Massachusetts.

Come early and take a hike! This Berkshire landmark has seventy trails crossing numerous habitats and natural features. A guided hike preceding the event is also available, email {encode=”hollyallsports@gmail.com” title=”hollyallsports@gmail.com”} or call 413-281-2028 to make arrangements ($10 per person, must reserve by 1 PM on the 17th).
