Like an Almanac of Human Happiness

How many moods and moments have our favorite places seen? And if those places had memories, what might they remember?

Chicago-based photographer Paul Octavious’s portfolio in the May/June 2013 issue of Orion, “Same Hill, Different Day,” conjures up a photographic speculation of what such memories might be like for one particular grassy dome and patch of sky.

Here’s a video composite of the place that inspired the photographs in Orion, courtesy of Paul, plus a number of images that didn’t make it into the magazine. With music by Matt Abeysekera.
